Description
As I was approaching Huron Falls on the stone steps below Shawnee Falls, I noticed these new tree blossoms growing out of the steep hillside. The top section of Huron waterfall was gushing wildly in the background.
This 41 foot waterfall is located between Ozone Falls and the Shawnee Waterfall, upstream from the Waters Meet Point, on the Glen Leigh branch of Kitchen Creek.
This photograph was captured on May 5th, 2011 with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/22, shutter speed of 3/4ths second at the 38mm focal length, ISO 100.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Ok now this is an amazing exposure image!! The effect of the moving water is exposed so well but there is no blur int he leaves or limbs. It must have been a very calm day. Fantastic work Gene fv
Gene Walls replied:
Thanks a lot, Byron! Thankfully, it was unusually breeze-free when I snapped this one. Kindest regards, Gene
