Description
Tuscarora Falls sprays a lot of mist into the air, which is a wonderful thing for a sweating hiker on a warm day.
( …camera lenses view this refreshing phenomena a bit differently, though …nothing a good lens cleaning cloth can’t fix.)
This lively 47 foot waterfall is located on the Ganoga Glen branch of Kitchen Creek, in Ricketts Glen State Park, not far from the “Waters Meet” point.
This photograph was captured with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/22, shutter speed 1/4th second at the 24mm focal length, ISO 200.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre.

Beautiful split falls Gene! vtd
Gene Walls replied:
Thank you so much, Donna! Tuscarora only "splits" like this when the water levels are lower, usually in the summer. I think that's when it looks the most interesting. Kindest regards, Gene

Beautiful nature image, amazing how a slight difference in POV make a totally different looking image fv
Gene Walls replied:
That is so true, Byron! It is very difficult to get to this particular spot when there is a heavy flow over Tuscarora. Thank you for your kind observation! Best regards, Gene
