Such a feeling here! I think this brings us back centuries ago! f/v

Gene Walls replied:

Thanks a bunch, Eti! The Sentry bridge was built in the 1930's, but in a very "old world" style. Kindest wishes, Gene

Wow, can you even imagine the engineering required for this then it all done by hand stone by stone. Great color, details and framing fv

Gene Walls replied:

Thanks, Byron! Originally, wooden bridges and walkways were installed here in the 1800's. These stone bridges were a real engineering marvel for the 1930's. FDR commissioned the Civilian Conservation Corps to build the permanent structures through the gorge. Their stone work is truly amazing! Kindest regards, Gene

Very nice shot! If you could shoot at ISO 100 it would help with the amount of noise in your shot. vf

Gene Walls replied:

Thanks, Marvin! Of course, you are right, but it was getting dark and there was a light breeze, so I had to keep the shutter speed as fast as possible to freeze the foliage. This was my last shot on my way out of the park. Kindest regards, Gene
