Actually, this is a pair of diesel locomotives, the Reading 903 and 902, in a push-pull configuration. They are currently on static display at the Steamtown, USA National Park & Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Both of these General Motors FP7 engines were built together in 1950 and were completed at the same time, on June 1st. They were used as a pair frequently, beginning with their first official run on the Reading Company Line on June 6th of that year.
The Reading 902 & 903 have been on loan from the Reading Company Technical and Historical Society since January of 2010, in exchange for excursion rights.

Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...

Good to see the old train again. Might even road it. Originally from Reading. Outstanding photo Gene.
Gene Walls replied:
Thank you very kindly, Donna! These engines spent half a century on the Pennsylvania rails. It is quite possible that a train you rode could have been pulled by one or both of these locomotives. Best wishes, Gene
