Description
Frank L. Ricketts falls provide a wonderful view of white water cascading down a long slope of many gentle sedimentary rock drop offs, one right after the other. The actual vertical height of the waterfall is 63 feet.
Many fallen trees have found their way to the bottom of this waterfall. New trees are displaying their finest early summer greenery, as they take the place of the older timber that has been washed away, down Kitchen Creek. This is Mother Nature's original "rural renewal" program in action.
(...as opposed to man's "urban renewal" programs.)
This photograph was captured with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/21, shutter speed 1/8th second at the 28mm focal length. The camera's ISO setting was 200.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Thats one enchanted on the good way place! I just love how different the same waterfall looks throughout the seasons! Awesome! fv
Gene Walls replied:
Deeply appreciated, Eti! Hopefully, I will have all four seasons represent for every one of the waterfalls here, before the end of the year. Kindest wishes, Gene

So beautiful and peaceful fv
Gene Walls replied:
Thank you very much, Byron! It truly was very peaceful. The water sounded like a gentle splash, instead of it's normal roar. Best regards, Gene
