Description
Erie Falls is one of my favorite waterfalls to visit in autumn. The trees above this waterfall seem to burst with amazing colors here. I have visited this site many times in the fall, and it's always a special place when the leaves are turning yellow, gold, red and orange.
The photo was captured on October 10th, 2013. The shot was taken with a Canon 5D DSLR, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 21mm focal length. The exposure time was 6.0 full seconds @ f/8, ISO 100. A ND-4 Neutral Density filter was used. The camera was mounted on a Manfrotto tripod, with a Manfrotto 222 Pistol Grip head. A remote shutter release cable was also used.
Erie Falls is the last waterfall at the bottom of the Ganoga Glen trail. You can see Erie falls from the Waters Meet point in the Park, where the two Falls Trails converge.
Ricketts Glen is located near the communities of Red Rock and Jamison City, PA, at the junction of Pennsylvania Routes 118 and 487. The Glen is about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania, in the north eastern United States.
