Description
The Waters Meet Point is the central hub for the three main hiking trails in the wilderness area of Ricketts Glen State Park. This is also where the two main branches of Kitchen Creek converge. You are looking up the Glen Leigh trail, where the Wyandot waterfall is visible in the distance. The sky was cloudy and there was a light rain falling while I was capturing this shot. The autumn leaves were falling like snow, many of them were swirling around in the plunge below the spillway.
The photo was captured on October 10th, 2013. The shot was taken with a Canon 5D DSLR, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 40mm focal length. The exposure time was 2.0 seconds @ f/18. The ISO was set to 100. A ND-4 Neutral Density filter was used. The camera was mounted on a Manfrotto tripod, with a Manfrotto 222 Pistol Grip head. A remote shutter release cable was also used.
Ricketts Glen is located near the village of Red Rock, PA, at the junction of Pennsylvania Routes 118 and 487. The Glen is about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania, in the north eastern USA.

Gorgeous image, love the fall leaves every where.....v
Gene Walls replied:
Thanks, Beverly! Yes, the trees were getting bare, except for all of the hemlocks, of course. The swirling leaves in the pool really caught my attention here. Kindest wishes, Gene
