Artist's Description
I finally made it back to Ricketts Glen this year, to see all of those amazing waterfalls surrounded by autumn's beautiful colors. The weather forecast was for cloudy conditions with a chance of rain on this very calm autumn Tuesday. This is Mohawk Falls, the very first waterfall I visited during my hike through the Glen today. Mohawk is located at the top of Ganoga Glen Trail in Ricketts Glen State Park in north eastern Pennsylvania, USA. The shot was captured on October 18th, 2011 with a Canon 30D DSLR, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 17mm focal length. A ND-4 Neutral Density filter was used with a Circular Polarizer. The camera was mounted on a Manfrotto tripod, with a Manfrotto 222 Pistol...

Beautiful Gene, the falls look so wide in this shot, excellent job! v/f
Gene Walls replied:
Thanks a lot, Donna! This was the strongest flow I ever saw at Mohawk Falls. I was able to get up nice and close by walking out on the fallen trees that had gathered in the splash pool. The churning roar was really loud. Kindest wishes, Gene
