Artist's Description
The recently launched balloons were lining up in such an interesting way. I moved all around the field until I was able to find just the right spot to capture this particular point of view.
This image was captured at 6:18pm on September 18th, 2010. I was enjoying the activities at the Lycoming Rotary Hot Air Balloon Festival, in north central Pennsylvania, USA.
The Rotary Club of Lycoming County presented this weekend event at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville, Pennsylvania, USA.
This image was shot with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR camera, with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM professional Ultra-Wide Angle lens at the 35mm focal length. The ISO was 100 with an aperture of f/9.5 and shutter speed of 1/180th second. A Monfrotto tripod and Pistop Grip ball head were used.
Your comments are always welcome! Constructive criticism is appreciated.

About Gene Walls
I was born in the wild hills of West Virginia, raised in western Maryland and currently live in north central Pennsylvania, USA. My higher education includes Theological Studies, Electronics Engineering, Audio Engineering and Visual Arts. I taught a Media course at Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn State Affiliate). Photography has been an integral part of my life since the mid 1960's. Capturing the beauty and complexity of nature is my main interest, from macro close-ups to wide vistas views ...and everything in between. Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...
