Artist's Description
The Waters Meet Point is the central hub for the three main hiking trails in the falls section of Ricketts Glen State Park. I arrived here while the sun was still behind the ridge was casting a shadow over the spot where the two branches of Kitchen Creek converge. You are looking up the Glen Leigh trail, where the Wyandot waterall and the wooden footbridge above the falls are clearly visible in the distance. Bright sunshine was highlighting the trail and the beautiful fall foliage up the glen.
The photo was captured on October 18th, 2011. The shot was taken with a Canon 30D DSLR, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 26mm focal length. The exposure time was 1/4th second @ f/7.1. The ISO was set to 125. A ND-4 Neutral Density filter was used, combined with a Circular Polarizer that was stacked in front. The camera was mounted on a Manfrotto tripod, with a Manfrotto 222 Pistol Grip head. A remote shutter release cable was also used.
