Artist's Description
This was my second visit to Sheldon Reynolds within a week. When I was here in the first week of October there was so little water flowing over the cliff that it barely resembled a waterfall. After a very welcome rainstorm, the falls were alive once again. In the six days since my first trip, the fall colors had become much more prominent and the leaves were piling up nicely below the falls.
This image was shot with a Canon 5D DSLR camera body, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens, at the 21mm focal length. The aperture was set to f/20 with a full 5.0 second exposure. The ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod and pistol grip head were used with a remote shutter release cable.
Sheldon Reynolds is the second waterfall downstream from the Water Meet Point in Ricketts Glen.
Ricketts Glen is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. This is about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.
