Artist's Description
The weather was absolutely perfect and the summer breeze had just died down for the evening, on the longest day of the entire year. Wyandot Falls is located just upstream from the “Waters Meet” point on the Glen Liegh trail in Ricketts Glen.
This photograph was captured during the summer solstice of 2014, on a solo hike through the Glen. It was taken with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 5D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/16 with a full 6 second exposure at the 24mm focal length. The camera’s ISO setting was set to 100. The image is presented “As-Is”, with no enhancements or post processing. The RAW camera file was simply converted to JPEG in Adobe Photoshop.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...
