Artist's Description

Dutchman Falls can be found in the Loyalsock State Forest in Sullivan Country, Pennsylvania, USA. The late evening light was being very kind to this beautiful waterfall. The ice of a very long winter still remains, flanking the falls, on April 13th, 2015. This shot is still hot from the camera.

This photo was taken on April 13th, 2015. The image was captured with a Canon EOS 5D DSLR camera, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 19mm focal length. The shutter speed was 1 full second at f/5, ISO 100.

Loyalsock State Forest wilderness area can be found along RT-118 and RT 220 in north central Pennsylvania, USA. LaPorte is the nearest community. Dutchman Falls can be found on the Loyalsock Trail, not too far from a convenient parking area. It’s a very steep, rocky climb, but well worth the effort.

Your comments are always welcome! Constructive criticism is appreciated.

Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...
