Description
Huron Falls is a stepped waterfall that takes an interesting turn part way down to the bottom. It is great to find a cascading waterfall with a "landing", half way from the top.
It was a very overcast afternoon, but the sun was just peeking through the clouds and tall trees when I snapped this shot.
This 41 foot waterfall is located between Ozone Falls and the Shawnee Waterfall, upstream from the Waters Meet Point, on the Glen Leigh branch of Kitchen Creek.
This photograph was captured with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/22, shutter speed 1/6th at 3/4ths second at the 22mm focal length, ISO 200.
This is an HDR image, comprised of three separate bracketted exposures, taken on a heavy duty Manfrotto tripod. The image was processed in Photomatix 3.2 (Mac).
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Thank you very kindly, Byron! The years of gathering these shots is finally getting near completion. Hopefully, by the time 2014 arrives, I will have a full set of waterfall shots from Ricketts Glen in every season. Best wishes, Gene
