Description
Wyandot Falls is just upstream from the "Waters Meet" point, on the Glen Leigh trail in Ricketts Glen State Park. The fall foliage was just beginning to replace the lush greenery of the past summer. Now we see that some of the leaves are showing signs of autumn's beautiful golds, oranges, yellows and reds.
This photograph was captured on October, 10th, 20103, on a solo hike through the glen. It was taken with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 5D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/20, shutter speed of 5.0 seconds at the 24mm focal length. ISO setting was set to 100.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Gene you amaze me! I absolutely love all your waterfall images. Let me tell you, you inspire me. I have shot many waterfalls in Michigan and some in Oh., and I love my images too, but, yours …., are amazing. Hope you don't mind but, you are my muse now.
Gene Walls replied:
Your extremely kind compliment is very deeply appreciated, MP. Every element of photographing waterfalls is pure pleasure to me. The hiking, climbing, occasionally dancing with bears, finding the right angles, getting the shot and then processing each frame ...these are the things that mean the most to me. The only thing that is even better is when someone enjoys the final results. Thank you very kindly! Best wishes, Gene

Another wonderfully detailed and sumptuous rendition, Gene! Maybe you should team up with a manufacturer of ionizers to provide that one missing element - ionized clean air? F&V#13
Gene Walls replied:
Ha, ha, ha! Thanks, Richard! Actually, there is a waterfall very near this one that is called "Ozone Falls", for that very reason. Best wishes, Gene
