Description
I decided to stop by the General John Burrows memorial covered footbridge to see how our landmark site looked in the spring. I picked the right day. The lovely Dogwood tree beside the bridge was in full bloom!
This is a spring view from Indian Park in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, USA. The Gen Burrows footbridge spans Mill Creek, in the park. The bridge was built in 1988. It is a fitting memorial to several local community leaders and war heroes. This unusual footbridge pays homage to all of the great Pennsylvania Historical Covered Bridges throughout the State.
This photo was just taken last evening, April 24th, 2010. It was shot with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L zoom lens set to 36mm. The shutter speed was 1/750th sec. at f/6.7, ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release cable.
