Description
Don't you just love how falling snow absorbs and muffles sounds, making everything so quiet and peaceful.
The image was captured in Brandon Park in the heart of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA, on January 29th, 2011. It was shot with a Canon EOS 10D body fitted with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens, set to the 17mm focal length. The shutter speed was 1/180th sec at f/8, ISO 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.

Greatly appreciated, Donna! I totally agree, I love the snow, too. My Oklahoma born wife hates the white stuff, so I always go here alone in the winter. Kindest wishes, Gene

Stunning winter scene Gene! I wouldn't mind a bit of that here in Houston! It is so hot! v/f

Thank you so much, Tessa! Hopefully, visions of snow might cool you down just a little bit. Kindest wishes, Gene
