Description
This is a summertime view of the bridge into the town of Montoursville from the city of Williamsport, in north central Pennsylvania. It was over 100 degrees in the shade, but it was especially hot in the mostly dried up creek bed of Lycoming Creek here, where it meets the Susquehanna River. The good news is that it gave me a rare opportunity to find a very different angle to shoot the old iron bridge.
The bridge was built in 1931, fully refurbished in 1994 and is currently open to daily traffic.
This photograph was snapped this afternoon, July 8th, with a Canon EOS 10D camera through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens. The focal length was 17mm at f/11 with 1/180th second shutter speed. The cameras ISO was set to 100.
