This is the great Ganoga Waterfall ...the tallest kid in the class (biggest waterfall in Ricketts Glen). Currently, the flow of Kitchen Creek down the face of this high cliff is at its lowest volume of the year. However, this magnificent ninety-three foot spectacle never disappoints! Just in case someone might be dismayed by anything less than a full gushing water display, Ganoga wraps itself in beautiful fall colors, to make up for the difference. This photograph was captured on Monday, October 4th, 2013, on a solo autumn hike through Ricketts Glen. The shot was captured with a Canon EOS 5D camera through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens, at the 17mm focal length. The exposure was 1 full second at f/13, ISO 100. Gene Walls replied:
Thank you very kindly, Byron! The glen looks amazing in the fall, but the leaves are falling pretty fast. I'm sure there is a lot more water flowing there today. Best regards, Gene
