Description
This view reveals all of Mohican Falls, from bottom to top. Mohican is located on the Ganoga Glen Trail in Ricketts Glen, just down stream from Delaware Falls. A smaller tributary of Kitchen Creek joins the Ganoga branch in this plunge pool. The shot was captured just below the wooden footbridge that spans the small feeder stream.
Ricketts Glen is a very popular State Park, located in the north eastern region of Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest community to the park is Red Rock, situated at the junction state routes RT-118 and RT-487.
This photo was taken on August 16th, 2013 with a Canon EOS 5D DSLR body, fitted with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens at the 40mm focal length. The shutter speed was 10.0 seconds at f/13, ISO 100, in RAW format. An ND-8 Neutral Density filter was used on the lens while the camera was mounted on a Manfrotto heavy duty tripod. A remote shutter release cable was used.
This image is presented totally “As-Is”, just as the camera captured it. The shot was converted to JPEG from the camera RAW format, without editing or enhancements.

Another wonderful water trail cascade through the trees! If they look this good now I look forward to seeing your winter full flow shots, Gene! F&V#4

Thank you so much, Richard! Pennsylvania winters cause all of these falls to freeze over solid. I have to time my winters trips very carefully, to find water flowing with the ice. Here is the address for my shot of Mohican in late winter. http://pixels.com/featured/mohican-falls-surrounded-by-winter-white-gene-walls.html Best wishes, Gene
