Description
The Harrison Wright waterfall site was showing just a little bit of fall's nice colors when I arrived here. The fallen leaves were just starting to accumulate at the base of the falls, but the "bridal veil" of the waterfall was looking particularly gorgeous on this early autumn day.
Harrison Wright is the third waterfall that visitors encounter when they begin their hike from the RT-118 parking area, at the bottom of the lower falls trail. This landmark is a short distance below the Waters Meet Point.
This photograph was captured on Wednesday, October 8th, 2014, on a solo autumn hike through Ricketts Glen. The shot was captured with a Canon EOS 5D camera through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens, at the 40mm focal length. The exposure was 1 full second at f/14.0, ISO 100. A 77mm ND-4 Neutral Density filter was mounted on the lens. The camera was securely mounted on a Manfrotto 055CLB tripod with a Manfrotto 222 pistol grip head. A remote shutter release cable was also used.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.
