Artist's Description
Autumn leaves were beginning to accumulate around Huron Falls, on this cloudy fall afternoon. I liked what I saw when I stepped into Kitchen Creek below the falls and took a wider view of the waterfall and its surroundings.
This photograph was captured on October 10th, 2013 with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 17mm focal length, on a Canon EOS 5D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/14, with a long shutter speed of 4.0 seconds, ISO 100.
This 41 foot waterfall is located between Ozone Falls and the Shawnee Waterfall, on the Glen Leigh branch of Kitchen Creek. Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...

Great extended depth of field on this fine image. I imagine it looks somewhat different just now with the big freeze you're having... F&V
Gene Walls replied:
Thanks, Richard! I'm sure it looks quite different right now ...totally frozen over, for sure. I tried to reach this spot again last week, but a major snowstorm forced me back off of the trail. Kindest regards, Gene
