Description
Deep in the woods of Ricketts Glen, the snow began falling earlier than had been predicted. Delaware Falls was being decorated with another new layer of winter white. With this shot captured, it was time to climb out of the gorge as quickly as possible.
Ricketts Glen State Park wilderness area can be found at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in north eastern Pennsylvania, USA. Red Rock is the nearest town, which is about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre.
This photo was taken in the early afternoon of March 3nd, 2015 on a winter hike. The image was captured with a Canon EOS 5D DSLR camera, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens at the 28mm focal length. The shutter speed was 1/200th sec at f/4. The camera's ISO was set to 100. Deep in the woods of Ricketts Glen, the snow began falling earlier than expected.

Gene Walls replied:
Thanks a lot, Bob. It was very peaceful to see, but we knew we had to get out of the gorge before the snow started to really accumulate. We were miles from the trail head at this point. Best regards, Gene
