Description
The plunging waters of Cavern Cascade waterfall can be seen between the steep cavern stairway and the sheer cliffs of Watkins Glen. This is one of two falls in this park that allow you to pass directly behind the liquid curtain of Glen Creek.
Watkins Glen State Park is located at the southern tip of Seneca Lake, in Watkins Glen, New York, USA. This is the Finger Lakes region of the state.
This photograph was captured on August 3rd, 2007 with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was f/8, shutter speed was 1/8th second at the 70mm focal length, ISO 400. The camera was mounted on a Manfrotto tripod with a Manfrotto 222 joystick ball head. A remote shutter release was also used.
