Artist's Description
It was a pristine autumn evening in early November at Rose Valley Lake in north central Pennsylvania. The sky was cloud-free blue and the fall leaves were at their colorful peak. The sun had set and night was approaching quickly. This was my only useful shot of the trip because it was taken just before the wind picked up and disturbed the smooth mirror-like surface on the lake.
This photo was taken just after sunset with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 154mm. The shutter speed was 1/6th sec at f/32, ISO 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.
