Artist's Description

Believe it or not, this is not a fantasy image, created in a computer. This is a real photograph of a very real place! This is Rainbow Falls, in Watkins Glen State Park, located in upstate New York at the lower end of Seneca Lake. It is one of the most unbelievable places I have ever seen! I thank God and NY State for this most beautiful place in the USA!

Lush green ground vegetation and beautiful trees punctuate the enormous rock cliffs and the numerous waterfalls. Almost every surface in this section of the glen is covered in thick moss, green vines and ferns. This creates an amazing green glow that must be seen to be believed! All of your senses are treated to wonderful stimulations here. The sweet aroma of nature is ever present. The nearly constant sound of flowing water is like natures music that accompanies you throughout your entire hike in the gorge.

I was born in the wild hills of West Virginia, raised in western Maryland and currently live in north central Pennsylvania, USA. My higher education includes Theological Studies, Electronics Engineering, Audio Engineering and Visual Arts. I taught a Media course at Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn State Affiliate). Photography has been an integral part of my life since the mid 1960's. Capturing the beauty and complexity of nature is my main interest, from macro close-ups to wide vistas views ...and everything in between. Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...
