Description
The Gottlieb Brown Covered Bridge (also known as the Sam Wagner Bridge). It was built in 1881 and had major repairs in 1982, after a terrible flood had damaged the structure.
This great old bridge crosses Chillisquaque Creek, connecting Northumberland County to Montour County. It is located about 3 miles east of RT-147 in Milton, Pennsylvania, just off of State Route 642 along Creek Road. The bridge is in a beautiful setting, with expansive farm fields on one side of the stream and lovely family farm houses and barns surrounding it on the other.
This bridge was listed on the National Register Of Historic Places in 1979 Structure #79002311
