Description
Yup, they're just ferns, but ain't they perty!
The forest floor was a never-ending carpet of ancient green foliage, better know as ferns. The sun was setting fast and I still had a couple of miles to go the get out of the woods before dark, but I just had to stop to get a few shots of this lush greenery before continuing on my merry way.
Captured on September 5th, 2009 with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body, using a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens. The lens was set to its longest focal length of 40mm, at the closest focusing distance possible. The shutter speed was 1/4th sec at f/11. The ISO was set to 100.
