Description
This was one of the first rockets that was launched at our friend's Class C fireworks show. The event was held in an open field, near the community of Linden, in north central Pennsylvania. It wasn't quite totally dark yet, allowing the guys to be captured in silhouette as they lit the fuse and watched the rocket soar into the twilight sky. There was a very heavy mist hanging in the evening air, after an extremely rainy afternoon. The rain ended just in time to allow the show to go on as planned.
This photo was captured on July 3rd, 2014 with a Canon EOS 5D full frame camera, through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens, at the 32mm focal length. The shutter speed was 6.2 seconds at f/4, ISO 400.
This image is presented "As-Is", just as the camera captured it.
