Description
Mohican is a two-tier waterfall. This is the top section of the falls, as seen on a very warm October day. You are viewing Mohican Falls from the dark, steep and often narrow Ganoga Gorge Trail in Ricketts Glen State Park.
This view can be seen with your own eyes in Ganoga Glen, along Kitchen Creek, in Ricketts Glen State Park. Mohican Waterfalls are just a short distance below Delaware Falls.
This photograph was captured on Friday, October 4th, 2013, on a solo hike.
The image was taken with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 5D DSLR body. The exposure was 6.0 full seconds long @ ISO 100. The lens aperture was set to f/18, at the 17mm focal length. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a Manfrotto 222 Pistol Grip head.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.
